Honesty, Compassion, Service, Equality, Equanimity, Love...

The majority of, if not all, major spiritual traditions recognize these as guiding or foundational tenets. In recovery we often hear the phrase “listen for the similarities not the differences”. In the emerging Interspirituality movement we share a belief that these qualities are foundational to emotional, mental and spiritual well-being and we embrace the similarities we find across the myriad traditions as well as those with which we may identify more closely in order to share and grow together. We further believe they are crucial aspects of a healthy and sustained recovery from our addictions.

Inclusivity

At Interspiritual Recovery, we embrace individuals from all backgrounds and traditions, providing a safe space for everyone to explore interspirituality as it relates to their recovery, free from judgment and discrimination.

Shared Experience

We believe there is a nurturing quality in the sharing of experience gained in attempting to  grow spiritually. Our aim is to provide a vehicle for such shared experience. We believe there are few greater gifts than to be offered an opportunity to relieve the suffering of another through a shared spiritual practice.

Unity in Diversity

We celebrate the richness found in a diversity of spiritual traditions. We believe strength is found in the multitude of teachers that have come before us and the cohesion of these approaches to freedom from "Self" only serve to strengthen us in their union.
